Origin of Name San Gildar
Sangildar was the first oratory that we had in Escazú.
The image was brought from Spain by the Marin Badilla Family in 1734.
They exhibit it for more than one hundred years in an oratory of the Badilla Solis family in the central part of Escazú, they worship it every Holy Saturday .
At the present time there’s only the altar with the initial at the center printed with gold color.
